Kaplan Construction Earns ABC National’s Excellence in Construction Award for Castle Island Brewery
Castle Island Brewery in South Boston is the latest in Kaplan Construction’s growing list of national recognition receiving the Excellence in Construction® Eagle Award. ABC presented the honor, given on February 26 at the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National Convention in Las Vegas.
The Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards celebrate outstanding construction projects from around the nation in 2024, from healthcare facilities, infrastructure, government projects, and commercial development. In the commercial category, and for jobs topping $10 million, Kaplan topped the list.
Overcoming Challenges to Achieve Excellence
Kaplan Construction President Nathan Peck said the team had also managed to conquer obstacles throughout the project.
Peck added, “Our team was faced with an additional urban site condition and environmental challenges in South Boston’s dense urban landscape.” “We are thrilled to see this project recognized on a national scale for those reasons this project has always been a standout because of.” Especially rewarded to be honored for our work with Castle Island Brewing Company, a valued longtime client.
Located in a repurposed industrial building, Castle Island Brewery South Boston offers a 4,000 SF tasting room for 220 guests, a retail shop, and a 1,900 SF event space for 140 people. The brewhouse, equipped with seven 10-barrel tanks, occupies a quarter of the facility.
